Overnight on Relationships in Lismullin Conference Centre.

Beloved and the Hearts+Minds team hosted an action packed event. The key note speakers, Chiara and Ferdinand Degenfeld joined us from the Netherlands. Chiara is founder of Flourishingperson.com and Ferdinand her husband is a Leadership coach with non-profits. They are both passionate about the transformative power of love to change relationships that lead to personal growth.Chiara and Ferdinand explored 3 main themes; being rooted in identity, searching for integrity and living complementarity. Topics such as emotional virtue and the prevalence of pornography and its impact on relationships were also discussed. One of the participants commented: " Chiara and Ferdinand  are inspiring! I am so struck by how open and vulnerable they both are about their own challenges and limitations. That challenges and limitations are normal. This was really helpful for us all to hear. In most relationships some topics are taboo or just never come up. They shared how to make the important things in a relationship part of normal conversation in a lovely, gentle and respectful way".   

The Overnight included opportunities to reflect on the theme. Fr Pat Gorevan celebrated mass on Sunday and also gave a guided prayer session on being rooted in Christian identity for anyone who wanted to join. 

An experience of Sushi making was part of the overnight experience. Diane, a local chef and an expert in Asian cookery  shared tips on the best Sushi Recipes, and how to do it at home for a special occasion.
